The AAA LED lights are really quite a good value, as well. I have many newer, smaller lights that I greatly appreciate, but my big mag-lites are really my mainstays. The large size isn't all that disadvantageous, either. They're more than bright enough with very long runtimes, and when your flashlight actually has to work for a living rather than do magic tricks, a single-mode light with a long runtime is the tortoise that wins the race. I have both the 2D pro and the standard 3D LED lights. Their big D cell LED lights are actually still really good value for the money. ![]() ![]() They were the definitive tactical/outdoor/duty light for decades, but when the industry changed, they had their heads down.
